Tim Stellmach is a 20-year veteran of the videogame industry. He has worked primarily as a game designer and creative lead, with some roles in project management, quality assurance, and programming.

From 2001 to 2010 he was a design manager at Vicarious Visions, building its design staff to the point where by 2010 it was one of the larger Activision studios.

Tim spent the 1990’s at Looking Glass Studios, where he was a designer on the critically-acclaimed Ultima Underworld II, Terra Nova, and System Shock, as well as lead designer of the Thief series.

Tim is a long-time faculty member of Marc Leblanc’s Game Design Workshop at GDC. He holds a degree in Mathematics with Computer Science from MIT.
